Dozens of foster youth and their caretakers enjoyed a fun-filled Saturday at the "Spring Fling" hosted by NFL player Troy Hill, a 2009 graduate of St. Bonaventure High School in Ventura. The event, held at Hill's alma mater, featured carnival games, music, prizes, giveaways, food, and more. The title sponsor for the event was Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing, with proceeds supporting Aspiranet, one of California's largest social service organizations. Hill, currently a cornerback for the Carolina Panthers and entering his ninth NFL season, has also played for the Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns. Eastsport is thrilled to have been a part of this meaningful event, supporting the foster youth community alongside Troy Hill and other generous partners.
Paul Reed received a warm welcome and big cheers from students at E. Washington Rhodes Elementary School during the Sixers' final stop on their back-to-school tour. Reed was joined by Sixers head coach Nick Nurse and president of basketball operations Daryl Morey for the event, where they engaged with the kids and helped kick off the school year in style.
